Padma Library was Established in October 2020. It’s a non-profit organization.
Read books, build a better society” With this slogan in mind, the Padma Library started its journey. The library is located at Jagannathpur union of Thakurgaon district in the northern part of Bangladesh.
The library is situated in a remote area of Bangladesh.
The library has been named “Padma Library”. Padma is an illiterate woman and lives in the village. Thousands of illiterate women like Padma in a rural area in Bangladesh think they are blind even though they have eyes. Due to the family, socio-economic background, and various other reasons, these women may have been deprived of education. However, the contribution of all these women in a family is no less than a man.
Here “Padma” is a symbolic name. Thousands of women like Padma” are working day and night in silence for their families. The decision to name the library was taken out of respect and reverence for the thousands of unnamed Padma.
